Silk — flow diverter
Silk is a new generation of high technology devices called “Flow Diverters” which was developed and marketed by Balt, offering new treatment strategies for aneurysms. Silk is a nitinol braided stent with a high density braiding delivered in front of the aneurysm neck, enabling to redirect the flux to the parent artery and obtain a progressive thrombosis and exclusion of the aneurysm.

Silk Vista: is the third and last evolution of the Silk device, combining the latest technologies enabling safety and ease of deployment (resheathable up to 80% deployed), with the lowest profile on the market and full visibility under fluoroscopy.
Compatible with .021” delivery catheter, for easier navigation, it is available in nominal diameters from 3.5mm to 4.75mm, with lengths from 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 35mm and 40mm. (26 references available).
Silk Vista Baby: is the miniature version of Silk Vista for the treatment of small distal aneurysms. With the same advanced features as Silk Vista, this device can be delivered through a .017” microcatheter (Gama17) in vessels as narrow as 1.5mm. It’s available in a wide range of 18 references, with nominal diameters from 2.25mm up to 3.25mm and lengths from 10mm to 25mm.
